I would like to thank you Dr Sanguan Kunaporn who is one of the Board of Directors of ISAPS and Local Organization Chair of the Course for his tremendous efforts to make this Course happen. I thank The Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons of Thailand (ThPRS) and The Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons of Thailand (ThSAPS) for giving us the opportunity in organizing an ISAPS Course in Thailand and for their support. Dear all participants

On behalf of the organizing committee and the people of Phuket, I would like to welcome you all to this paradise Phuket Island, Pearl of Andaman which is Thailand's largest island and designated as one of the Province of the country. Phuket is the First area of the country and also Far East Asia to allow international tourists from all over the World to spend their vacation without quarantine even during the COVID-19 pandemic since July 1st, 2021, according to the Phuket Tourism Sandbox model. It is the model for every tourism cities in Thailand and this Region to learn the process and apply to reopen their borders.

Dr. Nazim Cerkes, President of ISAPS has had a strong determination to hold an onsite ISAPS official course in Asia during his tenure as a President. But Covid 19 pandemic has caused ISAPS to face with unprecedented problems. Both member and non-member surgeons in many countries cannot come to meet face to face and share knowledge and experience or build relationships between members and their families and ISAPS had to turn to online meetings instead. Therefore, the President has discussed this matter several times with me until it was concluded that Phuket, Thailand, is the most likely area for face-to-face ISAPS academic conferences. After consulting with a Board of THSAPS and had a green light in the middle of November 2021, ISAPS Thailand 2022 has come to reality and is the first on-site ISAPS course in Asia since the World has faced with COVID-19 pandemic.

The Phuket Marriott resort and spa, Merlin beach, is a 5-star hotel with its own private beachfront completed with large conference hall, comfortable rooms for guests and families to relax between meetings and excellent food with all amenities. The hotel has been accredited as SHA+ or as Covid free atmosphere, every front line staffs have had already full vaccinated. We believe that everyone will be impressed and beneficial with either new knowledge from speakers or satisfaction from relaxing within safe tropical atmosphere of Phuket at the same time.
